Today we all received the heartbreaking news of the loss of Paul Reubens, the creative genius behind Pee Wee Herman, after a long, private hard-fought battle with cancer. Paul died Sunday night, according to a statement posted Monday on his Instagram account, which revealed for the first time the severe medical crisis with which he'd be dealing.
"Paul bravely and privately fought cancer for years with his trademark tenacity and wit. A gifted and prolific talent, he will forever live in the comedy pantheon and in our hearts as a treasured friend and man of remarkable character and generosity of spirit."
God bless you, Paul. Thank you for all the laughter and fun.. and especially for The Big Shoe Dance from Pee Wee’s Big Adventure… ❤️
