I second that motion...and please add more '80s countdowns (and now that we're in 2010 add some early 2000s shows too.)

I'm guessing that the posters wanting certain songs to appear on the WT40 see those songs on the billboard charts and wonder why the songs don't appear on the countdowns. I'm no expert on chart methodology--don't many of the songs on billboard do well more because of downloads and not airplay so much?

Most of the responders here must listen to rhythmic radio...cause most of the tunes mention don't have much of a chance...except for on rhythm radio

Is it so important to you guys to determine the positions and careers of the songs on the chart? If so I would like to have Hootie & The Blowfish and No Doubt forever at the number one.

I was stating that if I wanted to hear only the artists I know and like I would find another chart like you said. But I listen to this chart because I like this chart whether there's No Doubt or Hootie or Alanis. Either way they all had huge number one hits.

They think this is their own ipod. If they can listen to their own preferences on some radio station or their own mp3 why do they bother to come here and demand that this song should be on the chart or that song should get out and so on and so on.

i know! people dont realize it's all about power rotations and spins and bullets, not whether a song is 'kewl' or not. if it were about how great a song was the charts'd be full of alternative urban and indie rock :D.
