INGREDIENTS
8 oz. Fresh dates (chopped)
3/4 cup water
1 tblsp. Vanilla extract
3/4 cup sugar
2 tblsp. all purpose flour
1/3 cup melted butter
DIRECTIONS
Puree dates, vanilla, and water in a blender. Place mixture in a saucepan.
Mix the flour and sugar in a separate bowl. When blended, add to date mixture in saucepan.
Add melted butter to saucepan mixture.
Heat until desired consistency.
Pour sauce into gravy boats. Ladle over cake while hot!
NOTE: To lessen the thickness of the sauce, just add a little water.
