We all knew it was bound to happen. How many of you wear platform footwear while flying? There is a reason!

Unfortunately Lady Gaga got to endure the ugly side of that reason when she took a rough tumble at London's Heathrow Airport. We now know there were contributing factors to the spill: in addition to the six inch platform shoes, Gaga was sporting a lengthy leather train that was attached to her leather chaps. Whaaaaat??? The two became entangled with each other, and down she went.

The bottom line: those boots designed by Noritaka Tatehana - which feature a six inch platform in addition to the heel, were most certainly not made for walking!

Lady Gaga, we love you. But we don't want to see you hurt. With that in mind, we give you our heartfelt permission to wear footwear that's a tad more sensible when traveling. Believe me: you DON'T want a sprained ankle (we have...and THAT'S pain!). You're well on the way to having one - be careful!
