The Top 5 Twitter Songs
Music is one of the best ways to express your love for something. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a girl or your favorite food – you really can sing about almost anything. And at this point, I’m pretty sure you all know how fanatically in love some people are with Twitter, the rapidly-growing social platform. So of course there are songs about it, too.
Singing about social media seems to be a growing phenomenon, with the best-known example being Kina Grannis, whose song dedication on the social voting website Digg (Digg) landed her a record deal and a Super Bowl commercial. So what happens when you combine singing with Twitter (Twitter)? You get some very interesting, and some very strange, musical numbers. Here are five of the best Twitter dedications, straight from the archives of YouTube:

1. The Twitter Song - Ben Walker
Ben Walker didn’t write just any Twitter song: he wrote THE Twitter song. Unlike some other songs we’ve seen, Ben actually has a voice, can play guitar, and has lyrics that caught the eye of Demi Moore. Enough said. View Count: 320,000+
2. Let Me Twitter Dat (Andy Milonakis)
Andy Milonakis made this interesting Twitter rap. It’s a bit mind boggling, and has a few foul words, but it’s probably the best rap on Twitter in existence. View Count: 290,000+
3. The Twitter Song (Dave Ryder, on Chris Pirillo)
Social media master Chris Pirillo had Dave Ryder make this Twitter beat. I think I just like seeing Chris dance around to it. View Count: 33,000+
4. Twitter Song (Gabe Bondoc)
Gabe’s video may not have been made in the studio, but its lyrics resonated with Twitter fanatics everywhere to rise up the YouTube (YouTube) charts. Mellow, soothing, almost like John Mayer. Okay, maybe that’s too high praise, but who can argue with these lyrics? ;)
