Russell Brand is living single life in the fast lane. Maybe a little too fast, as he couldn't outrun outtalk a brush with law enforcement Thursday.

Driving his black Range Rover on Sunset Boulevard, Russell found himself pulled over by the po-po. Despite being given a ticket Russell appeared in good spirits as he chatted with the officer and even gave a broad smile.

Some stories are now beginning to circulate that Russell is moving on from his split with Katy Perry. We don't know if f there is any truth to that or if that's simply P.R. spin cycle from Team Katy (we're thinking it's the latter). Meanwhile Katy returned to Los Angeles earlier this week from her short tour in Asia, where she performed in Singapore, the Philippines, and Indionesia. Girlfriends has earned a much needed rest!
