Talk about life imitating art. We had no idea that Erik Estrada has become a real officer of the law!

He trained to become a cop for a TV series in Muncie, Indiana, and when the show was cancelled, he continued training in ‘real life.’

Last year he was made Deputy Sheriff and he’s part of a task force investigating internet crimes against children. Estrada’s goal is to become a US Federal Marshall.

When he dies, the former CHiPs star hopes to be buried in his police uniform.

Protecting kids in real life would seem to be much more fulfilling than acting. What do you think?
