Alec Baldwin A Day In Politics
Actor Alec Baldwin has never shyed away from his passion for politics. In a recent Playboy interview the actor had said he would love to run against Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman in 2012. Since then the 30 Rock star’s rep says he has no real plans to move there or run for office.
Matthew Hiltzik said Monday that Alec wants Sen. Lieberman to stay in office because there are so few moderate Republicans in the Senate, the Associated Press reports. Sen. Lieberman was re-elected as an independent in 2006 after he lost the Democratic primary.
On Sunday Sen. Lieberman said Alec is a fine actor, but then dared him to “make my day” with a Senate challenge.
Sounds like fun but we love Alec on 30Rock and it would not be the same without him!
