Alec Baldwin fans will no longer be able to read about his airline ejections, Starbucks snafus, or Words With Friends challenges in 140 characters or less. That's right -- the outspoken star has broken up with Twitter.

The night after venting about his removal from an American Airlines flight, Baldwin announced that he was pulling the plug on his Twitter account, which is now deactivated.

"Let's play a game called Mass Unfollowing. I want to crash this acct and start again. But, tonight at 10pm, NY time, unfollow me," he wrote Tuesday evening before deleting his stream.

A rep for Baldwin told People that the actor has indeed quit his Twitter account -- but just temporarily: "It's just on hold while he focuses on 30 Rock."

Yup... he'll be back. ; )
