Adam Lambert Tones Down Glamnation Tour For Family Viewing
Adam Lambert tells Billboard that his upcoming Glamnation tour will not be as shocking as his controversial performance during last year’s American Music Awards.
“I definitely think they will be comfortable,” he said. “That was kind of an artistic experiment, the AMAs. I learned a lot from it. I learned what my limitations are. I learned what my audience wants to see. The concert definitely is sexy, but I feel if anyone thought [the AMA performance] was not tasteful, this is tasteful.”
He promises that his concerts will have a quite bad-ass look inspired by Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison.
“[It will be] visually inspired by turn-of-the-century New Orleans,” he said. “A kitschy, glam, voodoo, crystal ball, black magic kind of look, [with] a lot of psychedelic, classic rock visual references.” And it’ll be a journey, he says, with the first act about seduction, the second about vulnerability, and the third, about “celebration and joy and love and connection.”
Now that’s someone who knows his stuff!
Also, look for a pairing that we think will be monstrously huge: Orianthi on tour with Adam. Now THAT'S gonna be a hot tour! We wkk have Pynk interviews lined up!!
