Taylor Swift Talks Kanye West With Oprah
Taylor Swift was on Oprah today and of course Oprah touched on the Kanye West incident and congratulated Taylor on how she handled it and on her being a true star.
Swift didn’t have much to say about the Kanye West VMA incident, but she did tell Oprah that she had accepted West’s apology and that her mom had spoken to him about it at the show.
Taylor also credited her parents for helping her become the grounded 19-year-old she is today.
“I feel like being raised by two parents who basically brought me up with the idea that the world didn’t owe me anything really helped,” she said. “My whole life, I just loved music and I’d see these people on big stages, and I didn’t think I could actually do that.”
