Chris Brown On Larry King Live: "I don't remember"
Chris Brown had his first interview since pleading guilty to assualt on June 22nd, with Larry King Live and explains he does not remember hitting Rihanna.
Astonishment is the response to the entire attack. He explains:
“I just look at it like, wow, I’m in shock,” he says of reading through the police accounts of what happened. “First of all, that’s not who I am as a person and that’s not who I pride myself on being. So when I hear about the police reports, I don’t know what to think.”
The same goes for Joyce Hawkins, Chris Brown’s mom, who can’t figure out where her son’s behavior came from given the fact that Chris witnessed abuse firsthand growing up.
“Chris has never, ever been a violent person, ever,” Hawkins told King.
When asked about his future and community service: Chris has no qualms about the six months of community service that lie ahead: “They want me to pick up trash, remove graffiti. … I’m a hard worker. It’s something I’m willing to do.”
But the one thing that still hurts is seeing Rihanna out with other men. “At the end of the day, I mean, we’re not together, so, if she’s happy, I’m cool.”
Bottom line: Chris realizes he was at fault. That’s why he entered a guilty plea and has accepted his punishment.
